2 Geometric Tribal Pattern-Wounaan Embera PANAMA Vintage Tightly Woven Baskets

This is for 2 Vintage Tightly Woven Baskets with a Geometric Tribal Pattern, from the Wounaan Embera Panama area. They are in lovely, previously owned condition. There is a little bit of dirt on the bottom of the basket. I chose not to try to wash and will let the new owner do that if they choose. I was afraid the tight weave might swell. The basket measures about 7 1/4'' tall and the plate measures 9 1/4'' across. They are heavy and thickly woven. The basket has a thick GREEK KEY and FIGURE PATTERN. The plate has an 8 & 11 point STAR PATTERN. I am not sure of the age, I would assume probably from the 1970's or 80's. I purchased these about 18 years ago at an estate sale in Jacksonville, Florida. They were world travelers.

SHIPPING IS EXTRA VIA US Ground MAIL WITH TRACKING. I do sometimes use recycled materials when it warrants. Typically anything that is fragile I will use foam board on the insides of the box. I take very great pride in making my customers happy and that they receive their purchases intact.
