-These are single thickness
on the edge,
but double thick in the smaller,
inner rectangle of the card,
with a 5/8 inch round steel shim
in the very
center.
We personally prefer this version,
as it allows you to "square-up"
a
deck of cards without detection
of the shimmed card,
but when released
creates a small "break"
allowing for quick location
of the card!
