Longaberger 11" Measuring Basket 1995 VINTAGE DECOR COUNTRY FARM HOUSE AUTUMN

Description

This is a Longaberger 11" Measuring basket.  It was hand crafted in 1995.  The basket uniquely features a square bottom for sturdiness and a round top with a swinging handle.  Originally the measuring baskets were used for grain and produce.  This is a great basket to hold apples in the fall, corn, pumpkins or a myriad of other household goods such as toys, shoes, crafting supplies, towels, etc.  The basket does have some scratches on it and a very light stain in the bottom but there are no broken splints or chipped splints and is a beautiful vintage basket. The Longaberger Company, Dresden Ohio, created handwoven baskets out of hardwood maple sourced from the US, pottery, hand-forged wrought iron and other items for over forty years, from 1973 to 2018.  Longaberger baskets were handwoven baskets and initialed by the artisan who created them. As a consultant for over 20 years, I have a great deal of inventory that was either stored or used for display purposes. I also seek out excellent Longaberger items to bring to you online since the company has ceased operations.
