Excellent used condition. Wicker is intact on storage portion and ram head lid. Piece includes at least 4 different weaving techniques. Measures 9"L x 6"W x 7 1/2"H
From his applied glass eyes to his reed tail, this ram captures your attention. When you look closer, you see the scalloped weaving technique with the wicker reed that adds a wooly texture to the rams back and sides. There is one spot of wear where the wicker has split, shown in final photo. The wood horns are tacked into place with small nails. When you remove the lid, you see the chevron pattern on the lid reeding, and the basketweave pattern on the interior of the storage compartment. It still has its lacquer intact. Also adding to the artistic value of the piece is the variation of color from the exterior of the piece to the interior. The exterior is a darker walnut tone, and the interior has a lighter honey tone to the wicker.
