    I bought this at a farm auction in Portage County, Ohio, decades ago. In those days, I had a big country kitchen and it looked just great on my Hoosier cabinet. But times change. I’m in a much smaller home now – with a small kitchen. I just don’t have enough room for this great wooden slat basket. It’s an ideal size for fruit or silk flowers. It measures about 12 in. wide, 7-1/2 in. deep and 10 in. high (including the handle). It’s never been painted.I have no idea how old it is – but it was old when I bought it decades ago. I’m not entirely sure what the wood is but it certainly looks like oak. Again a great primitive wood slate basket – and it benefits your purchase will benefit the Red Cross, which is much needed this hurricane season!
